We Need Real Jobs Which Pay a Living Wage - Okay, But How Does One Define That?

Not long ago, I was at Starbucks and a left-leaning individual was discussing the need for jobs, quality jobs, which he defined as those with retirement benefits, premium health care coverage, and a living wage of over $50,000 per year. He was retired from the phone company and living well in a nice golf course retirement community. He said we need corporate jobs, not cheap type small business jobs which hardly pay very much, those aren't real jobs, they don't pay a living wage he kept stating.
